So I've been a bit out of my regular rhythms and that's impacted writing every day. In fact I've failed to do it for more than a week! This is no good. While I'll have work to deal with now, I've instituted a new policy whereby a block of time will be set aside for this writing practice each day. It'll be at the same time, even.

My life has had the ground pulled out from under it and I couldn't be happier that it's happened, or with my decision to cause that upheaval by my own hands and my own force of will. I imagine that many of you will understand where I am coming from: like many hardcore Internet users I spend more time wrapped in its ethereal embrace than I do in the concrete clutches of the real world.
